Hi, I’m Tarik.
I’m glad you’re here.
Give me a few colors of yarn, a crochet hook, and an unhurried afternoon, and I’m happy. Sunday Crochet is where I share that happiness with you.

It started with a little curiosity.
I was drawn to the idea that one strand of yarn could become something you could hold, use, or give to someone. I picked up a hook to see how it worked. My first attempts were uneven, and I spent plenty of time pulling stitches out and starting again.
But there was always a reason to try another row. A stitch would finally make sense. An edge would look a little neater. A small piece of fabric would begin to take shape, and suddenly I wanted to know what else I could make.
That curiosity grew into a love of crochet. I enjoy the making as much as the finished piece: choosing colors, noticing how a yarn feels, and settling into the rhythm of a familiar stitch.
Why Sunday Crochet?
Sunday is the feeling I wanted this space to have. A little room to breathe. A project you’re looking forward to. Time to make a cup of tea and pick up where you left off.
You don’t need a whole free afternoon to join in. Sometimes a few rows are enough. I wanted to create a place you could return to whenever you have a little time for yourself, whether that’s on a quiet Sunday or in the middle of a busy week.
Small projects, plenty of possibilities.
I’m especially drawn to the pieces that bring a bit of handmade character into everyday life: a flower that won’t wilt, a useful little basket, a bag in a favorite color, or a granny square that could become almost anything.
On Sunday Crochet, you’ll find inspiration for those kinds of projects, alongside amigurumi ideas and guidance on yarn and tools. My aim is to make the details easy to follow, so you can spend more time enjoying your project and less time wondering what an instruction means.
There’s room to learn here.
I remember how much a clear explanation could help when I was getting started. That’s the approach I want to bring to this blog: useful notes, straightforward language, and encouragement to pause and try again when something doesn’t quite work.
If you’re new to crochet, you’re welcome here. If you already have a basket of unfinished projects and more yarn than you planned to buy, you’re welcome too. I hope you’ll find an idea that makes you want to reach for your hook.
